Learning our English Alphabet

The English Alphabet consists of 26 letters - 

The English word alphabet comes to us, by way of Latin, from the names of the first two letters of the Greek alphabet, alpha and beta

Around 1,000 BC, the Greeks adopted a shorter version of the Semitic alphabet, reassigning certain symbols to represent vowel sounds. 

There are more than 40 distinct sounds (or phonics) in English. Because we have just 

26 letters to represent those sounds, most letters stand for more than one sound. 

A vowel is a Letter of the Alphabet (a, e, i, o, u, and sometimes y) that represents a speech sound created by the relatively free passage of breath through the larynx and oral cavity.

What is a flow of Abundance

Abundance is a Flow - The point here is that the widely accepted definition of abundance – hoarding enough for a lifetime in advance – is totally against the laws of nature. Hoarding is not natural abundance! By the same principle, health is natural and abundance is natural.

Genuine abundance means knowing that there is always more than enough available to you so that you don’t have to hoard.  The former definition – of living quite naturally in an abundant flow – is something we can all experience, whilst the latter definition is, by its very nature, something which only a few can experience.

What’s the difference between the mind, body, spirit, soul and the self?

Most people go through life believing that they are this story, believing that they are the thoughts they are thinking, instead of the essence that is experiencing those thoughts. Because they have cultivated a degree of inner freedom by learning not to identify with the mind, personality and self.

A person who identifies with, and believes themselves to be their passing thoughts and emotions, will suffer in life much more than a person who has found the centered of their being, their Soul.

THE BENEFITS OF LEARNING ENGLISH

English is an increasing diverse, global language and it  greatly facilitates cross-cultural communication between people from different regions and nations. The English language is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, second only to Mandarin. 
English being a widely-spoken language throughout the world is only one of the many advantages of learning the language. 

International Relations

English is the primary language of business throughout the world. Most international business transactions, including emails, memos, reports and contracts, are written in English

Travel and Tourism 

Being able to converse with people living in the area where you are vacationing adds to the richness of the cultural experience.

FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES

International students  have an easier time with their studies, including reading lengthy texts and researching topics for classes. A large amount of research in scholar journals is written in English. Knowing English is a great and helpful resource for scholars who wish to communicate their ideas, findings to peers in their own field.

Time

As people get older, their perceived value of time increases, so it’s a practical topic that everyone has something to say about. You could ask questions like:

• How much free time do you usually have?

• How important is time to you?

• If you had more free time, what would you do?

• “Time is money.” Do you agree or disagree? Why?

• How do you feel about time that is wasted?

3. Sleep

As people get older, they start to appreciate a good night’s sleep more and more. This topic is often a favorite for all. Some example questions are:

• How much sleep do you usually get?

• Why do some people sleep well while other people do not sleep well?

• What do you do when you have trouble sleeping?

• What time do you usually go to sleep? What time do you usually get up?

• Have you ever slept in a strange place that was not a bed?

4. Music

Everybody loves music and most people feel very strong emotions towards it—especially when it comes to the music that they love (or hate) most. Some simple questions to ask could be:

• What types of music do you like/dislike?

• How do certain kinds of music make you feel?

• What types of music come from your country?

• What’s your favorite song/album/artist?

• What music is popular in your country right now?
